Welcome to Myrtle House Surgery

Myrtle House has been a Doctor’s Practice for many years. It was originally started by Dr Harry Fox and later by Dr Joe Fox. Dr Stanley Devlin took over the practice in December 1945 and he built the practice up from a list size of 150 patients.

Myrtle House SurgeryHe was joined by Dr C S Paul in 1953. Dr John Dixon became his partner in 1979, followed by Dr Arthur Manuel in 1983 before Dr Paul’s retirement in 1988. Since then the practice population has gradually increased to approximately 6,000.

Myrtle House had been extended in 1984 and went under further modernisation and redecoration in 1998. The Practice is flexible to accept patients within its boundaries although from time to time the list is closed.
